Palma is a very cosmopolitan city which offers great all year round business opportunities.  The summer is very popular with a wide variety of nationalities, some stay in Palma while others visit on day trips from around the island.  Due to the beauty of the city, it is also a top winter destination for city breaks.  

The huge yachting community is another market with massive potential.  Some yacht crew are based in Palma all year round while others spend the winters here while carrying out maintenance on the boats.  The owners come to use their yachts and enjoy the island from Easter until October.  There are also many sailing regattas throughout the summer which attract many visitors.

Some of the most popular areas of Palma are Paseo Maritimo, Santa Catalina and La lonja.  
Paseo Maritimo is the boulevard which stretches along the waterfront.  It’s restaurants and bars are busy throughout the week during the summer and packed with locals from Thursday to Sunday even through the winter.

Santa Catalina is possibly the most sought after area of Palma.  The market is the focal point and is surrounded by trendy cafes, restaurants, bars and shops.  The large British, German and Scandinavian ex-pat communities give Santa Catalina a very cosmopolitan feeling. 

Santa Catalina MarketLa Lonja is the Old Town district of Palma with its typical narrow streets and tapas bars it is very popular with tourists from many countries.  Its historic buildings and proximity to the cathedral ensure it is very busy with tourists during the day.  The wide variety of restaurants and bars create a lively atmosphere in the evenings. 

All of these areas are close to the marinas so there is an opportunity to capitalise on trade from the huge yachting community.
